Artist Biography
Grupo Los de la O is a regional Mexican music quartet. Though founded in Las Vegas in 2017, its members (Jesús Baca on accordion and lead vocals, drummer Luis Carlos, bassist Eduardo, and Ramiro on bajo quinto) all hail from Obregón in Sonora, Mexico. Their accordion-rich sound is deeply rooted in the norteño and nuevo canción traditions, as evidenced by their June 2019 live debut album, Pura Manzanita, but their polished musicianship and contemporary lyrics and compositions thoroughly reflect the 21st century, as in their 2020 studio album Tras las Rejas. In 2021, Los de la O netted half a dozen singles, an EP, a live album, and the charting studio LP La Clase. 2022 saw the release of "El de Houston" with Ivan Cornejo and "Seguimos Más Fuertes" with Legado 7, as well as the stand-alone tracks "El Tirabalas" and "El Señor de la A."
