About Lowhours
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
My earliest musical memories are of me sitting in front of my parent's stereo player in the mid-late 90s with the headphones on & immersing myself in their collection. I loved all sorts from Micheal Jackson to Nirvana, Björk to Depeche mode.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Nirvana, Nevermind
Radiohead, OK Computer
Tame Impala, Currents
These albums heavily shaped my identity as a musician. Nevermind was the reason I picked up a guitar at 11yo. OK Computer changed my perspective on what 'guitar' music can be (for the better) & Currents opened my mind to embracing all genres/sounds.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Hemisphere”
Originally sparked through a jam with a friend before evolving through multiple rebirths & careful refinement, this song means a lot to me as it bridges the gap between influence & execution with drums performed by Julien Barbagallo (Tame Impala).
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
For this particular project, i'd have to say having the drums on my track played by Tame Impala live drummer Julien Barbagallo. I've seen this guy play huge stages & I love his style/vibe, so it's a real honour to have his playing on one of my songs.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
At the time of writing, to complete a full length album & to get out there & start playing shows, once I have a live band together.
