American pianist Lucy Mauro has made several critically praised recordings for the boutique label Delos. Mauro's recordings have been praised not only for execution, but for novelty of content; they have focused on neglected female composers. Her first, From the Unforgetting Skies: The Piano Music of Margaret Ruthven Lang, appeared in 2013. Mademoiselle-Première Audience-Unknown Music of Nadia Boulanger was honored with a Grammy nomination in 2017. Mauro has appeared at festivals in Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, and China, as well as in the U.S. She has taught at Alfred University in Alfred, New York and at West Virginia University. She is the author of a book, Master Singers: Advice from the Stage, and several music education publications. ~ James Manheim
