Puati's career began in 1960 when he joined Orchestre Rock-En-Jazz as a bassist. In 1962, he left for Orchestre Mickey Mickey, and in 1965 hopped over to Dr. Nico's African Fiesta. He recorded a small solo output in the early '70s and attempted an ill-received comeback in 1987. ~ Steve Huey
