Singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Mac Ayres puts a fresh spin on R&B by pairing ’90s-style romantic lyrics with minimal backing tracks. • The Long Island native grew up loving D’Angelo, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, and J Dilla. • The self-taught musician learned to play piano at age 11 and guitar at 16. • Ayres attended Boston's famed Berklee College of Music before dropping out in order to record his 2017 debut EP, Drive Slow. • He released his debut album, Something to Feel in 2018, followed by Juicebox a year later.
