A punishing American grindcore/power-violence trio with roots in Brooklyn, New York and the nation's capital, Magrudergrind was formed in 2002 around the talents of Avi Kulawy, Casey Moore, and R.J. Ober. The band issued a series of split 7"s before releasing a proper full-length debut via Six Weeks Records in 2007 called Rehash. Their Willowtip Records-issued eponymous sophomore outing arrived in 2009, with the Crusher EP dropping the following year. In 2013, the band made an appearance on the HBO television series Veep, and in 2015 they inked a deal with Relapse Records, who put out their third studio long player,II, in 2016. ~ James Christopher Monger
