A Berlin-based DJ and production duo consisting of Philipp David Jung and Patrick Bodmer, M.A.N.D.Y. became a heavy draw on the German club circuit on the strength of their 2004 collaboration with Booka Shade, “Body Language”--a track whose staccato machine funk resonated with DJs across the spectrums of house, techno, and beyond. The pair joined with Booka Shade and veteran club jock DJ T to form the Get Physical label, releasing music from proponents of the burgeoning electro-house scene. M.A.N.D.Y. released their first commercially available mix, BODY LANGUAGE VOL. 1, in 2005, continuing the series as a showcase for likeminded DJs; the series was in its seventh volume by 2008.
