Pianist Marcel Zidani is also noted as a composer and as an online music teacher. As a pianist, his repertory includes such virtuoso works as Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and Liszt's Hungarian Fantasy (an arrangement of the Hungarian Rhapsody No. 14). His compositions are in a 19th century manner with a dash of Satie, and his online teaching courses have gained notice. After small releases on his own, he joined pianist Christopher Guild for the album Ronald Stevenson: Piano Music, Vol. 7 on the Toccata Classics label.
