Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Marco Plus is a dynamic, introspective, self-made rapper flitting between a calm, almost lethargic delivery style and an ability to produce sustained bursts of energy. Never afraid to experiment, Marco embraced the former approach on his earliest, self-released EPs: 2017's drowsy Day Dream, 2018's disorientating Marco's Cloud Sounds, Vol. 1, and 2019's LSD-themed Neva Cared volumes. An association with the local rap crew Backseat! helped him to achieve wider distribution for further solo material during a productive period that brought Tha Souf Got Sum 2 Say, a career highlight and his third album of 2021. This caught the attention of Johnny Shipes' Universal Music-owned New York label, Cinematic Music Group, which signed Marco Plus in late 2022. He continued to prolifically release new material, including albums like 2025's Marco Plus vs. the Underworld.
