In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories is staying up late with old headphones, looping Nujabes tracks. The swing of the drums and the dreamy samples felt cinematic, inspiring me to open my laptop in 2013 and make my very first beats.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Nujabes, Modal Soul Nujabes – Modal Soul for its soulful depth, J Dilla – Donuts for pure creativity and raw feeling, and Uyama Hiroto – A Son of the Sun for its cinematic blend of ambient soundscapes and hip hop.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Freedom To Create” The tracks from Human Dualities are special to me because they marked the moment I realized I didn’t need to follow traditional genre standards. They gave me the freedom to blend sounds freely and helped define the unique style I carry forward today.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments was a spontaneous trip to New York. Being surrounded by the city’s energy and hip hop culture made me realize I could truly do this music thing and commit fully to my path.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? On my bucket list is to keep developing my sound until it becomes recognizable on its own—where listeners can hear it and feel the influence of Japanese Hip Hop, while still knowing it’s uniquely me.
