In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
During our first day of busking at the Age of Chivalry festival, we were surrounded by the Queen's guard and taken backstage. We were immediately hired for a two weekend gig at the California Renaissance Festival, and Marooned was born.

“Nor Shuddering Maid”
Taking a single line from The Derelict (was she wench or shuddering maid), we created a song about a crew of women pirates, and rounded up women from across our industry and fandom to appear on the song. It is powerful, and a tune we are proud of.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
When A&E Network released the Horatio Hornblower movies, we were hired to perform aboard ship during a cruise and mock battle. We sailed on the Bill of Rights, wind in our faces, and songs in our hearts.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
At this point, having retired from touring during the pandemic, we are hoping for recognition in the Renaissance Festival Hall of Fame. We'd been nominated in the past, but weren't eligible. Now that we are eligible? It would be a nice farewell.
