About Mars Mignon
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
While still in diapers, attempting to conduct the women's choir my mom was in. I waddled up next to the choir director, and just mimicked what I saw him do. You can probably guess I was WAY off beat.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
KALEO, A/B (Deluxe Edition)
Novo Amor, Birthplace
All no skips.
Katie Pruitt's "Expectations": They are my favorite songwriter at the moment. And her vocals here are just killer.
Kaleo's "A / B": I'm never not rocking out to this record, ever.
Novo Amor's "Birthplace": No one has a sound like him.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“History Of Violence”
HOV is the song that is currently the benchmark I have set for myself as far as what I make. Some of my favorite lyrics I've ever written are on here, and it speaks to a deep part of my identity. And good golly do I love playing it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Going on tour with Naethan Apollo for sure. It was everything I could have ever wanted out of a first tour. And every crowd was absolutely incredible.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Go on a headline tour of my own, and one day get some vinyl printed for one of my records. I'm sure I will build more goals off of that, but those are good north stars to follow right now.
