In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Going to the piano lessons, sleeping under chairs at concerts my parents brought me to, knowing every solo on Maceo Parker's “Live on Planet Groove”, singing to a CD by Roger Cicero by knowing every part by heart.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Braxton Cook, Somewhere In Between Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly Maceo Parker, Life on Planet Groove (Live) There could be many more, also jazz-related albums, that I love. With Braxton, my favorite artist right now, I enjoy his transparency as an artist, his approach to mixing jazz language with “pop-songs”, his search to define his music over and over.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening a German jazz festival for Kool & The Gang, bringing my music to a jazz festival in France, and winning the Newcomer Jazzprize 2024 Rhineland-Palatinate.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to keep going on tour with my music. Not only Germany, but also Europe and other countries. I want to be visible and move other people with my music.
