Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest music memories was writing Perfect Girl at 16 so I’d have something to record with my first producer. It was my mom’s favorite—even after all that followed. It marked my shift from gospel roots to original, non-religious music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dr. Dre, The Chronic Jagged Edge, A Jagged Era Mobb Deep, The Infamous These three albums shaped my musical identity—bridging gritty street life in Hartford, the shock of hearing non-gospel for the first time, and learning harmony and stage presence that launched my artist journey.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Crypto” Crypto is special because it made me the first artist to tokenize a sound recording on the blockchain — in 2019. As a UCONN business & tech grad, I blend music with Blockchain, IoT, and AI to stay ahead of the curve. They call me Satoshi of Music.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing in Africa for the first time. The crowd’s energy was electric—the moment I started singing, they erupted. That reaction, that unity, that power… I’ll never forget it. 100% independent since 2003 and still pushing boundaries.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’m building a movement that bridges the three nations that shaped me—USA, Côte d’Ivoire, and Jamaica—through arts, culture, tech, and finance—building a living legacy to unite the African Diaspora across generations.
