About Meara
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I used to write songs and teach them to my friends in the fourth grade. We even had a backyard concert complete with matching costumes! Music has always been my favorite way of expressing myself, even when I was writing about trivial things.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Teenage Dream”
I adore Teenage Dream because I think it perfectly captures the duality of growing up and moving on in life. You feel so much potential, but so much pressure. Scream-sang this one after graduation for sure.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I want to play a show at Climate Pledge Arena in my home city of Seattle! I've been lucky enough to see so many of my favorite artists there and I think it would be a true "I made it" moment.
