About Michael Burrows
Michael Burrows is an Australian singer/songwriter with an easy, melody-forward style that draws from pop, folk, rock, Americana, and country. A student of both classic and contemporary music who cites the Beatles, Wilco, Eagles, and Ron Sexsmith as inspiration, the Melbourne native got his first big break in 2015 after being chosen by Martha Wainwright to open for her Australian tour. Shortly thereafter he teamed up with Grammy-award winning artist Frank Meyers and a host of other industry professionals to record his debut EP -- his early demos had previously caught the ear of Kiwi pop and rock legend Neil Finn (Crowded House), who would eventually lend his vocal skills to two of Burrows studio recordings. He released a pair of singles ("Please Don't Cry" and "Turn This Love Around") in 2018, with a third cut, "Brightest Star," arriving in early 2019. ~ James Christopher Monger
