Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I remember getting a toy guitar for Christmas when I was 5 or 6. It was a yellow/green guitar and I played my first 10,000 hours on that thing!

The Avett Brothers, I and Love and You
All three of these records have made me the songwriter that I am in one way or another. Chris Knight has a way of speaking simply and profoundly. Avett Brothers are pure emotion and musicianship. Gordon is poetry and arrangement to the highest level!

“One Step at a Time”
This song was a surprise for my wife on our wedding day. I wrote it the week before and played it for her at the reception. I had been playing the guitar part for a month or so around the house, so as soon as she heard it, she started crying.
