Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
1997. My first piano recital. Hundreds of guests. Halfway through the song, I make a mistake, and then look out at the audience and slam my head on the piano. So much for that year’s piano lessons…

“Bald Spot”
Bald spot was one of those on a whim let the words flow with the guitar songs. One take. It's flawed, authentic, and humorous. The best artistic expression for me is often in the sloppy fast food sort of category. Hence, Mickey D's.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Recording my first album with The District Grand.
I remember the nerves of hearing the songs we'd recorded and tracking the vocals in the booth while on display for the producer/engineer and bandmates. There was such an anxiety to go along with it!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I'd like to properly record the best (and worst) of Mickey D's the right way one of these days. It began as a couple of joke songs and has grown beyond my expectations!
