Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In high school I had an opportunity to play with the Mitchell-Ruff duo at a concert at Woolsey Hall in my hometown of New Haven, CT. It was my first real experience of feeling that kind of support from such legendary jazz musicians.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on AppleĀ Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ahmad Jamal Trio, The Awakening Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, Free for All (Remastered) John Coltrane Quartet, Sun Ship: The Complete Session Sun Ship, The Awakening and Free for All have some of my favorite artists playing beautiful original music with spirit and elegance. Three iconic bands at their peak playing with fire, feeling and boundless creativity.
