Artist Biography
The aptly named solo project of former Whirr member and King Woman vocalist Kristina Esfandiari, Miserable's intense shoegaze turns anguish into something beautiful. Esfandiari debuted Miserable in 2013 with a split 7" with Grey Zine on Run for Cover Records, then released a pair of singles in 2014 (February's Halloween Dream and August's Dog Days) that expanded on the project's passionately heavy yet ethereal sound. Two years later, Esfandiari returned with the full-length Uncontrollable, which was inspired by the loss of a close friendship. ~ Heather Phares
