Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. “George messaged me saying if I would be willing to fill in as the drummer for a gig his new project had booked, as the drummer who was supposed to play backed out at last-minute. Saying yes was probably the best decision I’ve ever made.” -Jake

Tell us why you chose this song. “Safe” Safe is a politically charged song protesting the use of military force against the citizens of Los Angeles. The sardonic nature of the lyricism, suggests that it is the division of the working class that enables authoritarianism to thrive.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The release of I Demand, was by far the most ceremonious as it was the first ever content we had ever put out as a band. The actual writing and production of the song was one of the most robust creative endeavors the band had taken to date.
