Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Learning the lyrics to 'Ambitionz Az A Ridah' by 2Pac when I was 9. Hip Hop found its way to my ears by way of bootleg cassette tapes from the US. Shortly thereafter, Mama Dearest put some righteous hands on me for rapping along to Pac 😅 😂 🤣 😹
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? 2Pac, All Eyez On Me 2Pac, Me Against the World 2Pac, Outlawz, Still I Rise MJ may be my all time favourite artist but 2Pac is my all time favourite rapper. If I Die 2Nite / Ambitionz az a Ridah / Still I Rise from these 3 albums got me through some very troubling times in my earlier years. Thank you Pac for your existence.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Boxing Day” I wrote Mic Check & Boxing Day on December 26th 2014 and to date they are both crowd favourites when we perform them live especially with a live band. Maybe because the music is quite minimal allowing for those passionate lyrics to cut through more.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Before my group disbanded, we supported The Sugarhill Gang in my own city and as a solo artist after the band split was to play inside The Olympic Park for The London 2012 Olympic Games as an ambassador for my city with Somewhereto_ North West.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want my own dedicated band. As a foundational member of The MIRO Ensemble (FKA The Manchester International Roots Orchestra) I get to see the appreciation that diverse audiences have for live music. Backing music ain't always going to be it for me.
