Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was three. We were living in Long Island; and my dad was playing and singing along to 'Missing (Todd Terry Remix)' by Everything But The Girl. And my sister and I danced along in the living room. I think it was my first favorite song.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bright Eyes, I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning Frank Ocean, channel ORANGE Stevie Wonder, Talking Book (Reissue) Each of these albums feel like a collection of individual stories - almost like a book of essays but in song form. They helped my taste to grow and expand in their own way.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “OVER. (Radio Edit)” It feels universal to me. It's a cautionary tale about discovering that it's time to move on, and the looming tension that haunts us before we decide to go or stay. We've all gone through a version of that and it's cool to have a way to process it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing my first major music festival in Austin back in 2021. It was our first out of state show; they gave us these armbands for VIP access the rest of the weekend. After we played we were kids in a candy store running from one stage to the next.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to make an album to a motion picture. Like what Kendrick did with Black Panther, Beyonce with the Lion King, or Prince with Batman.
