Artist Biography
The jangly, jittery indie rock of this Brooklyn trio is more pop-focused than the ramshackle punk of their previous incarnation, Honduras. Over the course of eight years, Honduras recorded multiple singles, three EPs, and a 2015 album, Rituals. Most of their recordings betrayed a punk and garage rock core and included choppy, angular guitars. In 2021, when they regrouped as Namesake, they started to incorporate power pop and jangle pop overtones, smoothing out some of their rough edges. This was evident on Redeeming Features, the debut under their revised moniker.
