Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Seeing and hearing Michael Hedges for the first time in 1991 as an opener for Crosby, Stills and Nash. It completely changed the way I looked at the possibilities of guitar.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? David Wilcox, How Did You Find Me Here Jacob Collier, In My Room Michael Hedges, Aerial Boundaries Michael Hedges broke the boundaries of what is possible on acoustic guitar. Jacob Collier has opened my ears to a new fascination with harmony. David Wilcox was my first true songwriting influence.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Rise” Inspired by the Colorado floods of 2013, this song was written before the flood waters had receded, was recorded only a few days later, and was released as a fundraiser for flood relief.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My album, Now You Know, being entirely fan-funded and voted as one of the Top 100 Folk Albums of 2011.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Writing and recording and album entirely of solo fingerstyle instrumental guitar.
