Nathalie Forget is among the world's few players of the ondes Martenot, an early electronic instrument. She has performed with major classical orchestras and conductors and is also active with rock bands and in mixed-media presentations. Forget studied the ondes Martenot at the Conservatoire de Paris with Valérie Hartmann-Claverie. She also earned master's degrees in musical philosophy, studying the writings of Olivier Messiaen (who wrote for the ondes Martenot in his Turangalîla Symphonie) and in visual arts. Forget was first heard on recordings in 2013, contributing to the album En France en Trance by electronica artist Ulan Bator. Her classical debut came the following year on the album Yassen Vodenitcharov: Celestial Mechanics. Forget has made several more albums, including a recording of composer Niels Rønsholdt's Songs of Doubt in 2017, and she joined the Toronto Symphony in 2024 on its recording of Messiaen's Turangalîla Symphonie.
