In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I met Atour around 2011, and a year later I joined them to create my second album, Khesht, which marked the beginning of my serious journey into Persian rap.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? A$AP Rocky, LIVE.LOVE.A$AP Damahi, Dar Man Boro Shekar The Notorious B.I.G., Born Again 2005 Remaster It carries the kind of magic that flows through your ears and reaches your heart.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Chaak” Chaak embodies the timeless magic of Persian poetry. It tells the story of Navid’s alter ego, The Unicorn — inspired by ancient Iranian legends and the myth of the eternal lover who sacrifices himself completely for love.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Over ten years after graduating, I stood once again in my old middle school — the place where classmates once mocked my new name, Navid — now surrounded by new Allameh Helli students excited to see me there.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Performed on over 10,000 stages across Iran, elevating performance standards in the country’s rap scene.
