U.K.-based Guinean singer/songwriter Falle Nioke combines the traditional sounds of his West African heritage with electronic elements supplied by an eclectic bevy of producers. Born in Youkounkoun, Guinea, into the ethnic minority Coniagui tribe, he joined a troupe of itinerant musicians after leaving school and spent several years with them traveling through neighboring Senegal and The Gambia. He married British photographer Charlotte Player in 2016 and moved with her to Margate, on England's Kent coast. After recording a single with Swedish producer Johan Hugo in 2020, he began a fruitful series of collaborations with a string of producers -- including Ghost Culture, Congo Natty, Sir Was, Adiel, Barry Can't Swim, and Alabaster dePlume -- who set his rich, powerful, soulful, versatile vocals and performances on traditional African instruments to a range of electronic backing tracks. His debut album, Love from the Sea, was released in September 2025.
Falle Nioke has also released music as a member of Pigeon.
