Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing a small toy guitar purchased at a local grocery store while my dad played drums in a second-story Los Angeles apartment next to the gas station. There were no rules, just pure self-expression. I wasn't in school yet.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? 50 Cent, Get Rich or Die Tryin Kanye West, Yeezus The Decemberists, Hazards of Love Get Rich or Die Tryin was one of my first CDs, not music my parents had around the house. Hazards of Love is a seamless work of art, unified by its melodies and story. Yeezus brings a powerful, almost evil energy that changed how I listened to music.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “DIAMOND GIRL” When I got obsessed with music production in 2021, the start of it was an urgent inspiration to write a love song for wife (then girlfriend). This was a spiritual successor to that song. I listened to demos while I ran in the 110-degree desert heat.
