In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a 5 y/o I took an early music class that had a city wide writing competition. I thought it was silly so I phoned it in, scribbling a quick scale. A girl in my class placed 3rd and that inspired me to write my first real piano piece.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Amsterdam” This track captures the spirit of my time in the Netherlands in 2023. Curiosity, fascination, fatigue, kids constantly asking for snacks. My partner and I love traveling, it felt like we were learning how to grow new limbs for the kids on this trip.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I started this project in 2020 during a break between film scores; I vividly remember tracking those early pieces in my attic, never thinking they'd amount to much. The way "[Time] Place" resonated blew me away and changed my life.
