Namely, Mark Archer and Chris Peat, more famous (in some quarters) for their work as Altern 8. They began their career as Nexus 21 - their ‘core’ project - with the ‘Still Life’ 12-inch for Blue Cat in September 1989, following it a few months later with ‘Rhythm Of Life’, this time for Blue Chip. After a 12-inch promo, ‘Self-Hypnosis’, they delivered Logical Progression in October 1990 on R&S Records, a second EP, Progressive Logic, following two months later. The duo have also released two singles (‘Another Night’ and ‘Flutes’) under the name C&M Connection. Archer has also recorded solo for the Stafford North Imprint as DJ Nex (The DJ Nex and Poundstretcher EPs) and Xen Mantra (The Midas EP). In 1994 he formed Slo-Moshun with Danny Taurus, scoring immediately with the Top 30 ‘Bells Of New York’ cut.
