Niecy Blues' meditative, atmospheric songs blend R&B, ambient, gospel, and indie rock influences. The South Carolina-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist employs looped vocal improvisations and haunting delay in order to create genre-blurring music that is devotional, ethereal, and intoxicating all at once. Following several years of sporadic short-form releases and guest appearances, Niecy released her entrancing debut album, Exit Simulation, on Kranky in 2023.
