In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Not knowing any differently when I first picked up an instrument I started writing my own songs immediately. It was just imperative to share what was playing inside my head with other people!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Graham Coxon, Happiness In Magazines The Strokes, Is This It The White Stripes, Elephant These albums seemed to sum up musically and melodically what was happening around us at the time with such great guitar pop that shook up the scene for a while. Solid songs, candid lyrics, and solid melodies.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Yeah Yeah” This reminds me of recording sessions at the legendary Toe-Rag studio in Clapton, London: all vintage 60’s recording equipment and old-school methods. The lyric is actually about us not being ‘tall enough and blond enough’ :) all jubilant defiance.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Having the opportunity to play some of the most iconic bars in New York City underground music: Arlene’s Grocery, Kenny’s Castaways, Ace of Clubs, Trash. We were even invited back and played NYC on three separate tours.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Releasing our 4th album sometime in 2024. It was recorded a while ago now at Seb Pecchia’s Riverside studio in Bath England but mixing and mastering sessions were disrupted by the pandemic.
