Oh, Weatherly's Popular Music Videos
Artist Biography
A lively pop-punk band with a bright, upbeat sound and skillful vocal harmonies that sweeten the impact of their tales of romantic disappointment, Oh, Weatherly hail from Dallas, Texas and were formed by vocalist Blake Roses. Roses assembled the first edition of the group in 2014, when he teamed up with guitarist Joshua Marsac and drummer Andrew Cope. This version of Oh, Weatherly cut the band's first demo tape; not long after they started circulating the recordings, they added Dallas Matthews to the lineup on lead guitar. In 2016, the band struck a deal with indie label We Are Triumphant Records, which issued a five-song EP, Long Nights and Heavy Hearts. By the time Oh, Weatherly hit the road in support of the release, the act had gone through some personnel changes, and the lineup featured Roses on vocals, Matthews on lead guitar, Angel Bedoy on rhythm guitar, Beau Harris on bass, and Jackson Bailey on drums. As the tune "Lost and Found" enjoyed success as a single, Oh, Weatherly's audience continued to grow, and the group jumped from We Are Triumphant to the established punk rock label Hopeless Records. In 2017, Oh, Weatherly released an EP through their new label, the five-song set Make You Bright; the EP marked the debut of the group's new drummer, Colton Lakey. Also in 2017, Long Nights and Heavy Hearts was released in an expanded edition, featuring two additional songs and short "commentary tracks" in which the bandmembers discuss how the songs came to be. The following year saw the group issue their full-length debut, Lips Like Oxygen. ~ Mark Deming
