Our Boy Drew is the rap alias of Drew Hernandez, also known as the active social media figure behind A Combat Veteran, a series of comedic videos regarding life in the military. As Our Boy Drew, Hernandez has a musical outlet for his experiences from his several years of active duty, which entailed tours of Iraq and Afghanistan. He connected with producer Charley Caripides, aka the Hustle Standard, who previously recorded co-billed releases with the likes of Rob Bailey, Nick Miller, Jay Kill, and Marty Poppins. R.E.D., a cathartic and uplifting EP recorded by the duo, was issued by Caripides in 2017. The seven-song set entered Billboard's Heatseekers chart at number 22. ~ Andy Kellman
