Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My parents took me to see a Jimmy Little concert when I was about eight years old. I think the copy of Messenger that he signed for us is still at my mum's house somewhere.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Coltrane, Coltrane's Sound Lou Reed, Transformer Radiohead, In Rainbows Lou Reed is so much of a genius it's sort of boring to point out that he's a genius, but I have to do it anyway. In Rainbows came out around my 16th birthday so it imprinted on my brain in a way that's very hard to describe. Trane is a machine.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Virginia Trioli” Compositionally I don't know if I can do better. Performance-wise, sure; recording quality, definitely; but in terms of things that could be represented on a lead sheet I don't think I'll ever top that.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Hearing myself on the radio for the first time was surreal. It didn't matter that it was an obscure station with nobody listening. I love the radio and I was on the radio.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? No, I want to retire soon and open a shisha lounge in Fawkner.
