In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I'll never forget performing at Supermarket in Grade 10. My best friends played, ran doors, sold faded tye-dye t-shirts. We were at 16, shouting, dancing, and breaking the floor, 'til the show got shut down. One of the greatest nights of my life.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Patrick Watson, Adventures In Your Own Backyard Rooftops, A Forest of Polarity Travis Scott, Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight These three have everything I need - math rock instrumentals wandering through woodlands, idiosyncratic psychedelic singer-songwriter vibes, and euphoric distortion bangers. These three together are what Panpsyche strives for.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Vagabond” For a while, Panpsyche was oriented around other artists singing on my productions, partially because of the philosophy of Panpsychism, partially because I didn't believe in my voice and was too scared to sing. This track marks a turning point for me
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Standing outside Patrick Watson's show this spring, chatting with him a bit, and playing him Blizzard, and feeling encouraged. That man is a legend, to hear him give me kudos was a big deal. Apart from that, there's been a million studio moments...
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We're looking forward to doing our first tour either this fall or next spring, once we've got more of the music out. The debut album is really exciting and feels nearly ready to share with the world, so that too would probably be it. Stay tuned!
