French duo Papooz blend breezy tropical rhythms and melodies with smart pop sophistication, making music that is both crafty and fun to listen to. They first netted an international fan base in the mid-2010s with their debut album, Green Juice, and its breakout single "Anna Wants to Dance." Over subsequent releases, Papooz continued to evolve, adding darker, electric funk tones on 2019's Night Sketches, then stripping back down for the winsome indie pop of 2022's None of This Matters Now. 2024's Resonate was altogether more polished and varied, setting up the collaborative style of Papooz & Friends in 2026.
