Artist Biography
Based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, post-punk revivalists Peace channel the rainy gloom of their hometown into their brooding and hypnotic music. Merging the angular darkness of Joy Division with a seemingly Krautrock-inspired repetitiveness, the band's sound is brooding and trancelike, with an air of menace lurking in its drifting atmosphere. Formed by members Daniel Geddes, Mike Willock, Connor Mayer, and Geoff Dembicki in 2008, the band made its album debut in 2011 with My Face, released on Pop Echo. After touring from coast to coast, the Canadian band returned to its home base to get back to recording. In 2012, Peace emerged from the studio with their sophomore record, The World Is Too Much with Us, which was released worldwide on Suicide Squeeze. ~ Gregory Heaney
