Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started piano at 6 and one of my earliest memories is creating my own song. I loved composing music and a couple years later I remember performing a song at camp that everyone liked :)
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brad Mehldau, The Art of the Trio, Vol. 4 (Back At the Vanguard) D'Angelo, Voodoo Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life Stevie is my favorite artist of all time. I love his singing and songwriting. D'Angelo's Voodoo album had a massive impact on me. Brad is a genius and I've learned a lot from studying his playing.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I wrote the hook of the song "Rude"... why you gotta be so Rude lol. That song recently went Diamond and has had a huge impact on my life. The moment it hit number one on billboard in America was a very memorable moment for me. Very grateful!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I recently started this new profile to feature jazz music and more esoteric releases. I've been releasing solo music as Mark Pelli since 2018 but just recently made this page under "Pelli". My hope is to grow this music and hopefully tour it :)
