Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Listening to KISS with my brother back in the 70's, and staring at the album cover and all the posters. I wanted to be Peter Criss so bad!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bruce Springsteen, Western Stars John Cougar Mellencamp, Scarecrow (Bonus Track) [2005 Remaster] R.E.M., Automatic For The People I a diehard Bruce Tramp, and I love all the old records, but Western Stars just moves me in a different way. Automatic For The People is perfect from needle drop to end. Scarecrow is beautifully real and honest. Great, great record.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Our Town (feat. Matt Starr)” Our Town was written over 15 years ago, but Matt Starr really helped me bring it to where it should always have been. His drumming and production pushed me to cut away the fat and get to the lean, muscular soul of the song.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I'm lucky enough to have had many; headlining the ABC in Glasgow, less than two years after my first show there as first act on a five act bill. Working with Matt has been a real highlight. Recording with my brother, who is my hero, was a dream too
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To play The Grand Ole Opry. My Mom worked at the one in Glasgow, way back when she was a teenager. I'd love to play the real one in Nashville cause I know she and my Dad would be looking down with pride and love for me.
