Artist Biography
At age 18, trombonist Peter Moore became the youngest-ever member of the London Symphony Orchestra. He has made solo appearances internationally and is also an important educator. Moore made his debut recording in 2011 with the BBC Concert Orchestra, performing Edward Gregson's Concerto for trombone. After several years in the London Symphony Orchestra's Young Artist Development Program, Moore was appointed co-principal trombonist of the orchestra in 2014. He has a strong commitment to contemporary music and has given the world premieres of works by Roxanna Panufnik, Dani Howard, and Francisco Coll. With pianist James Baillieu, Moore released the recital album Life Force in 2018. Moore returned in 2024, performing Dani Howard's Trombone Concerto on an album of her works with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
