About Phil A Johnson
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One of my earliest musical memories is Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September” with its bass and soaring horns. Maurice White sang “Do you remember, the 21st night of September?” lifting everything with joy. It felt like music first made the world dance.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
John Coltrane, A Love Supreme
Michael Jackson, Thriller
Run-DMC, Raising Hell
Run-D.M.C.’s Raising Hell for raw hip-hop energy and motivation, Coltrane’s A Love Supreme for spiritual jazz depth, and Michael Jackson’s Thriller for timeless pop joy. Perfect mix of fire, emotion, and fun.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Loyalty”
Feels deeply personal because it captures the raw, enduring side of commitment that most people only talk about in vague terms.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
One of my most memorable moments was the release of Club Rules: How the Elite Are Made, Not Given, alongside my 21-song project. It merged practical elite-access strategies with music on discipline & resilience—pure full-circle thrill.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Releasing Club Rules and my Phil A Johnson music on Apple Music was huge — but I’m just getting started. The Bucket is not big enough for my list.
