Violinist Pierre Colombet is best known for his work with the Quatuor Ébène, of which he is first violinist. That ensemble, and Colombet specifically, is recognized for an interest in jazz as well as traditional classical repertory. He has also performed and recorded independently of that group. In 2025, he was heard on the album Mozart: 1, 2, 3, 4 - Solo, Duo, Trio, Quartet.
Pierre Colombet has also released music as a member of Quatuor Ébène.
