In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The birth of hiphop will forever be a turning point in my life. From Grandmaster Flash to the Sugarhill Gang, once I heard the beats mixed with rhythms, it was a recipe that I am still addicted to. The influence is in my music if you listen close.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aesop Rock, Labor Days Cannibal Ox, The Cold Vein The Roots, Illadelph Halflife I can listen to any of these albums at any time, and they bring back so many great memories. There are so many other influential albums (to me), but these were the first to pop in my head.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Hopeless” My songs are little memories or capsules in time. They hopefully capture joy, stress, sadness and uncertainty. This one was created while I was struggling being a parent (ie the hardest job), and trying to navigate the life of my teenage daughters...
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Having the courage to put music out into the world. Also, getting validation from artists that I look up to has been somewhat surreal.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I do not have a bucket list as an artist. I create music because I enjoy it. My goal isn't money or fame. If others happen to like what I put out there, then that's a bonus and it makes me smile.
