About Presence
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Earliest musical memory...great question. I think we all remember seeing Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” video. Growing up as kids in the ’80s, that was one of those moments that made all of us want to be rock stars!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
311, Grassroots
Deftones, Around the Fur
Rage Against the Machine, Rage Against the Machine
Those records didn't sound like anyone else. They were heavy, rhythmic, experimental, and completely unique, and that approach had a huge influence on us. Each one showed us a different way heavy music could exist.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Again and Again”
The aftermath of a toxic relationship, expressing feelings of betrayal and heartbreak. Feeling vulnerable and unable to escape the pain caused by a toxic connection...an addiction.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Playing Red Rocks Amphitheatre was a seminal moment. The setting, the history...the energy of playing on a stage that so many legendary artists have stood on. One of those shows to stop for a second and realize how far the music has taken us.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
We'd like to play a show with Tool before we die. Either them or Kelly Clarkson!!!
