About Pushmen
Austin, Texas-based metal outfit Pushmen, named for the uniformed Japanese subway workers, or "pushers" who cram commuters into their coaches, formed in 2011 around the talents of vocalist Craig Moore, guitarist Joey Cortez, and ex-Sword drummer Kevin Fender (all of whom did time with '90s thrashers Employer Employee), guitarist Mark Nathan from Heartless Bastards, and bassist Cooper of Bad Powers and Made Out of Babies. The hard-hitting quintet's punishing blend of doom, noise, punk, and post-hardcore debuted in 2013 on the End Records-issued Sun Will Rise Soon on the False and the Fair. ~ James Christopher Monger
