In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember watching Davido’s Skelewu play on TV when I was in Primary school. I would also listen to a lot of Nigerian rap music and Country music occasionally. Growing up around music is the foundation of my love for music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Davido, Omo Baba Olowo: The Genesis Kanye West, Donda Wizkid, More Love, Less Ego I personally love ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ cos of the nostalgia I get every time I listen. Wizkid’s project is the blueprint for modern afrobeats and has influenced musically. Kanye is known for his genius and that’s what makes Donda a special project to me.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Making music with other creatives from my city, Port Harcourt, Nigeria has to be the highlight of my musical career as I’ve learned so much about music, and got to fuse my music in the most amazing sounds.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to have a good time basically, perform at festivals, go on tour with my colleagues, win awards, help discover new artistes, and connect with other artistes as well as fans.
