Born on Christmas Day, Rachel Gaudry started her musical journey learning classical piano at age six. After studying jazz at the Canberra School of Music, Gaudry slowly but steadily gained a following touring throughout her native Australia. In 1999, she toured the U.S. and performed at various industry showcases, including the CMJ Music Marathon.
