Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my first musical memories is performing an original at a piano recital in kindergarten. I wanted to create my own sound, between classical music and jazz music. I knew I didn't like authority, but rather, to walk to the keys of my own piano.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J. Cole, Born Sinner (Deluxe Version) JAY-Z, Reasonable Doubt Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly These are 3 of the first albums to successfully bridge consciousness with commercialism in the modern rap era in a manner in which the art form wasnt sacrificed. These are cultural staples that serve as soundtracks to shifts in times and mindsets.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ruler” This song started as a freestyle during my time at HOWARD UNIVERSITY. It is the first song of mine to gain critical acclaim and virality. It represents my uncensored truth, unapologetically. Furthermore, my great grandmother's voice is at the end.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career so far is receiving a call to fly to LA to film a segment on my artistry with BET. It was a moment that I'd long awaited, and I was enthused that a network with like ideals and morals showed interest.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My bucket list is long. Amongst all I hope to achieve widespread respect amongst fellow musicians for the purity of my art. I'd like to perform a billboard hit on an arena tour and win a Grammy. More than anything, Id like to leave a lasting impact.
